Isabel Jane Field
Born in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1867, Isabel Field was the sister of Frances Hodgkins. Taught by her father, W M Hodgkins, she exhibited in Dunedin from 1884 to 1908 and in the 1888-89 Centennial Exhibition in Melbourne. In 1893 she married W H Field and settled in Wellington. Isabel Field died in 1950. Her work is represented in a number of public collections including the National Art Gallery and Hocken Library.
